Who we are

Blurb is a software service that publishes content from Notion to SEO-optimised blogs. We are based in Ireland and operate at blurb.sh. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at support@blurb.sh.

What data we collect

  • Account information: your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Payment information: billing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
  • Notion content: posts, titles, and metadata from the Notion databases you connect. This is used solely to publish your blog.
  • Usage data: page views, feature usage, and error logs to improve the service. This data is not sold to third parties.
  • Cookies: session cookies to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

How we use your data

  • To create and manage your account
  • To sync your Notion content and publish your blog
  • To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
  • To send transactional emails (billing receipts, password resets)
  • To diagnose bugs and improve the service

We do not sell your data. We do not use your content for AI training. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Third-party processors

  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
  • Notion — your content source. We access only the databases you explicitly connect.
  • Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting, hosted in the EU/US.
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Blog content synced from Notion is deleted immediately on site deletion. Payment records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years).

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can also object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@blurb.sh. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice in the dashboard. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated.
